Code level 4 for Golders Green homes

1/3/2010

London green scheme is set around communal gardens.

A development of 64 homes in north London has earned Code for Sustainable Homes level 4 in sustainable housing design.

Granville Place near Golders Green has been designed and built by Tiger Developments, taking into account reduced carbon emissions, effective energy/water usage and conservation, sound waste management practices and use of environmentally friendly building materials. The development of one, two and three bedroom homes is set around a series of landscaped communal courtyards and gardens.

Cassandra Elliott, partner, Knight Frank, which is marketing the homes, said: "This is the first development I have seen that successfully delivers what the market wants with sustainability in mind. Apartments are filled with light, are tastefully fitted out and all benefit from outside space. This is an example to other developers of how to get it right."
