BRE launches site sustainability manager training
16/7/2012
Sessions provide guidance on achieving a BREEAM or CSH rating for construction sites
BRE is running a programme of intensive two-day training courses to support its Site Sustainability Manager scheme. The sessions are designed to equip site managers with the essential knowledge to deliver the most sustainable developments.
The Site Sustainability Manager scheme provides a mechanism to enable construction sites to be managed in the most efficient manner possible. It was created specifically to help site managers in meeting the stringent demands of the BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes standards.
The new training sessions focus on the key areas that are essential to minimising a site’s environmental impacts, such as:
- Delivering buildings in accordance with design specifications
- Understanding environmental certification schemes
- Site operations
- Innovative building materials and technologies
- Communications techniques and messaging.
Each course culminates in an exam, with successful candidates being able to register and join the Site Sustainability Manager scheme. The first session takes place on 24-25 September at BRE Watford. Click here for more information and to reserve your place.
