Small changes to older people's homes can make big differences

Making small changes to older people’s homes, such as installing handrails, ramps and level-access showers, alongside carrying out simple home repairs, could help to relieve pressure on the NHS and social care and reduce costs by millions of pounds each year. These are some of the findings of a report published on 28 November 2017, by the Centre for Ageing Better and the University of West of England, Bristol (UWE, Bristol).
